  • We do not store voice recordings on our servers

Firebase, Firestore & Storage Data
  • Firebase Auth account identifiers (UID), email, and verification status to manage logins

  • Recipes you create or edit (titles, ingredients, instructions, tags, images) stored in Firestore, with images stored in Firebase Storage

Cookie Duration: Authentication and session cookies remain active to keep you logged in. They are automatically cleared when you log out or when they expire for security purposes. Sessions automatically timeout after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Advertising & Measurement Cookies

If/when we enable advertising, we may use advertising and measurement cookies or similar technologies to show relevant ads, limit repeat impressions, and understand ad performance. Where required, we will update the cookie banner to obtain your consent and provide controls.

Your data is protected: We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your personal information. Voice recordings are processed in real-time and never stored permanently.

Where We Store and Process Data

Firebase & Firestore

Account data, recipes, reviews, favorites, notification preferences, personalization, and AI-generated meal plans are stored in Firestore. Authentication is handled by Firebase Auth.

Recipe and profile images are stored in Firebase Storage.

Communications

Emails (including recipe notifications) are sent via configured SMTP providers. Contact form submissions are processed through Sheety/Google Sheets for support follow-up.

We keep support records only as long as needed to address your request.

Your Device

Essential cookies (firebase_session, session/CSRF) keep you logged in and protect forms. LocalStorage stores the mmx_cookie_consent preference record.

We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies today.

Recipe Deletion & Access: When a creator deletes a recipe, we remove it from public listings and search results but retain it in Firestore to support saved references. Users who already saved the recipe (favorites, calendar, or AI Meal Creator) or have the direct URL may still access it.

User Content Responsibility & Moderation

User-generated recipes, meal plans, and reviews are posted by our community. We are not responsible for the accuracy, safety, or completeness of content provided by users; please use your own judgment when following any recipe or advice.

Misuse Policy: Abusive, illegal, or policy-violating behavior may result in removal of recipes and/or deletion of user accounts without notice to keep the community safe.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and personal data
  • Export your recipe data
  • Manage email notification preferences and unsubscribe
  • Control your favorite food tags and notification settings
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
Important Note: When you delete your account, your personal information (profile, favorites, reviews, notification preferences) is permanently removed. However, your recipes remain on the platform but become anonymous (no longer associated with your account) to preserve the community's recipe collection.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to enhance our platform:

  • Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Firebase Storage for login, database storage, and hosting recipe/profile media
  • Google Gemini AI for recipe generation and image creation
  • Browser speech recognition APIs for voice input when supported by your device/browser
  • Email delivery services for notifications and communications
  • Google Sheets (via Sheety) to receive contact/support submissions (name, email, message, related URL)
  • Advertising partners and ad networks (if enabled) to deliver and measure ads; we will request consent where required
